National Security & Defence
Dual-Use Operational Readiness Training for Military and Public Safety Agencies.
Overview
Strengthening mission readiness across defence and public safety.
Our dual-use readiness training supports military and public safety organizations responsible for national security, emergency response, and organizational resilience. These programs are designed to strengthen mission readiness, specialized capabilities, and coordinated response in complex and high-risk environments.
Volatus Academy offers both individual courses focused on specialized field and mission-critical skills, as well as tailored training programs aligned with the capability requirements of defence organizations, public safety agencies, and emergency management partners.
Organizations seeking customized training or capability development are encouraged to contact us to discuss their training requirements and mission objectives.

TRAINING CAPABILITIES
Search & Rescue & Disaster Response
Capability development for organizations responsible for search and rescue, disaster response, and emergency operations. Training focuses on field coordination, aerial support, remote operations, and mission planning in complex and time-sensitive scenarios.
Tactical Operations & Mission Support
Training designed to support teams operating in dynamic environments where situational awareness, coordination, and rapid decision-making are critical. Programs emphasize tactical deployment of emerging technologies, field operations, and integrated response across military and public safety missions.
Remote & Challenging Environment Operations
Specialized training for teams operating in remote, wilderness, or difficult terrain environments. Programs support readiness for operations in austere locations where logistics, environmental conditions, and situational awareness present unique challenges.
Uncrewed Systems & Counter-UAS Capability
Training focused on the safe and effective use of uncrewed aerial systems and counter-UAS technologies in complex operational environments. Programs include foundational drone training, mission-focused operations, and advanced counter-UAS simulation using Volatus Academy’s SKYDRA platform to support detection, response, and threat mitigation capabilities.
Capability Development Pathways
From foundational skills to advanced operational capability, Volatus Academy offers progressive training pathways designed to support individuals, teams, and organizations as they build expertise and operational readiness. These programs support everything from entry-level capability development (“zero-to-mission-ready”) to advanced operational training.
Interagency Coordination & Joint Response
Training designed to enhance coordination and interoperability across military, public safety, and emergency management organizations. Programs emphasize shared situational awareness, coordinated planning, and effective communication during complex incidents requiring multi-agency response and joint operational support.

Our training is designed specifically for military, public safety, government, and security organizations, as well as Veterans. Some courses are also available to qualified individuals seeking advanced operational skills.
Do I need prior drone or field operations experience?
No. Our courses are designed to support participants at all levels of experience. Volatus Academy offers progressive “zero-to-hero” training pathways that guide learners from foundational knowledge through to mission-ready proficiency.
That said, some courses are more advanced than others. We recommend that participants begin with training aligned to their current experience level and follow the suggested prerequisites to ensure the best learning outcomes.

Do you provide customized training programs?
Yes. We frequently work with agencies and organizations to align their specific operational requirements, capability development, or technology integration with our capabilities.
Can Volatus Academy help our agency build or expand a drone or counter-UAS program?
Yes. Volatus Academy supports organizations at every stage of developing or expanding UAS and counter-UAS capabilities. Our programs are designed to help agencies build the knowledge, skills, and operational frameworks required to safely and effectively integrate drone technologies into their missions.
Training pathways range from executive and policy-level education for decision-makers, through operational planning and program development, to hands-on operator training and advanced practitioner programs for personnel responsible for monitoring and responding to drone activity.
Training is integrated with Volatus' SKYDRA C-UAS simulator, enabling students to evaluate detection technologies, test response workflows, and assess operational readiness in realistic scenarios alongside their training.
Volatus Academy can work with agencies to support:
-Training and certification for counter-UAS personnel
-Program design and operational planning-Technology evaluation and system integration
-Development of incident response procedures and operational workflows
Organizations seeking to establish or enhance their drone or counter-UAS capabilities are encouraged to contact us to discuss their operational requirements.
